Glashütte Watch Museum welcomes 300,000th visitor

The German Watch Museum Glashütte welcomed its 300,000th visitor on 2 August 2016, eight years after it first opened.

One special guest, one memorable visit

2 August saw the German Watch Museum Glashütte record its 300,000th visitor - a pleasant surprise for Mr and Mrs Hofmann from Achim, near Bremen, who were given a warm welcome by museum director Reinhard Reichel.

  • On a personal tour through the permanent exhibition, the honoured guests explored the exciting history of watchmaking and saw lots of familiar things from the Bremen region in the special exhibition on marine chronometer production.

  • Since its opening in May 2008, the German Watch Museum Glashütte has been enchanting some 35,000 visitors from all over the world every year. Along with the national and international experts and lovers of Glashütte-made watches, frequent guests also include families, school groups and interested tourists.
