Ingenious and complicated

This sophisticated mechanical watch features not one, but three elaborate complications at once: an elegant moon phase, the characteristic Panorama Date by Glashütte Original and the Flying Tourbillon, which was developed in 1920 by Alfred Helwig.

Harmonious arrangement

This model captivates thanks to its asymmetric dial layout. The display for hours and minutes and the Flying Tourbillon lie on a vertical axis within the left half of the dial. The Panorama Date and moon phase are found on the right side, resulting in a harmonious overall image.

Flying Tourbillon

In contrast to the classic tourbillon mounted on both sides, Helwig’s filigreed construction is anchored on one side only. The balance and escapement system rotates on its own axis once a minute in an open frame, with the blued-steel tip of the tourbillon cage serving as the seconds hand.
