Senator Cosmopolite 1-89-02-01-05-61 - Glashütte Original
Travel companion in red gold
This classic and elegant travel companion from Glashütte Original has a 44 mm case in red gold with harmoniously complementary satin-brushed and polished surfaces. The matt black Louisiana alligator leather strap ensures a secure fit on the wrist. The sapphire crystal case back offers an optimal view of the refined details of this automatic movement, including the duplex swan-neck fine adjustment’s artfully engraved balance bridge, the three-quarter plate with Glashütte stripe finish, and the skeletonized rotor.
Dial with silver graining
The lacquered dial with silver grained surface features a harmonious and clear design. The Roman and Arabic numerals, railroad chapter ring and minute ring are all laser-engraved and galvanized black. The central pear-shaped hour and minute hands are fashioned in blued steel, as are the home time hands, the small seconds and the day/night indicator for the destination.
35 world time zones
The time zone ring on the Senator Cosmopolite offers a choice of 35 world time zones. The 24 time zones that diverge from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in full hour increments are displayed using a black IATA code. A further eight time zones that are offset from GMT in ½-hour steps appear in blue. The three time zones with ¾-hour deviations are presented in red codes. This colour coding makes it possible to recognize the offset from GMT at a glance.
The manufacture Calibre 89-02 beats at 4Hz (28,800 A/h) and is fitted with an off-centre rotor. The case back with sapphire crystal permits optimal views of the masterful decorative finishing and details characteristic of the finest German watchmaking art, including the Glashütte stripe finish, the brand’s Double-G on the rotor, blued screws and the elegant hand-engraved balance cock.
