Inspired by the vastness and beauty of the North Atlantic – the link between the Old and New Worlds. Glashütte Original presents a special edition consisting of two timepieces that combine German engineering with the spirit of limitless possibilities. The “Northern Tide” models of the SeaQ and SeaQ Panorama Date, with turquoise-blue dials framed by a black dégradé finish, are a diver’s watch, a style statement and a precision instrument at the same time.
The SeaQ and the SeaQ Panorama Date are perfectly suited to the magnificent landscapes of North America. Their robust construction, water resistance and reliability make them the ideal companion off the beaten track – underwater and in the countryside just as much as in the urban canyons of the big city.
The vibrant turquoise blue deepens to a rich black at the edges of the dials – an effect reminiscent of the churning ocean waves. These watches are right at home in the sea. As DIN- and ISO-certified diving watches, they undergo a rigorous in-house testing process in which the durability of every single timepiece is put to the test.
Both models owe their robust characteristics to extensive expertise and solid craftsmanship. Inside the SeaQ, the in-house Calibre 39-11 with automatic winding ticks away reliably. Its case is water-resistant up to 20 bar. The SeaQ Panorama Date is powered by the automatic manufacture Calibre 36-13, which is water-resistant up to 30 bar.
As early as the late 19th century, Glashütte clocks and watches were making their way across the Atlantic to the USA – their excellent reputation preceded them. Today, Glashütte Original pays tribute to this success story with the “Northern Tide” special edition.
