The 42 mm stainless steel case of this model, which features the Panorama Date and moon phase displays, is perfectly polished and satin-brushed. This simply elegant watch with automatic winding is fitted with a choice of a brown Louisiana alligator nubuck leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet with a comfortable fine adjustment mechanism. The sapphire crystal case back offers unobstructed views of the exceptionally precise Calibre 36 manufacture movement.

The dial is made by the manufacture in-house. It features a galvanic silver-grey surface with a delicate vertically brushed finish. The moon phase display and Glashütte Original’s signature Panorama Date are positioned harmoniously within the overall design. Striking white gold indexes as well as colour-matched hour and minute hands in a dynamic sword shape complete the look.

The Glashütte Original moon phase display is also elaborately crafted in-house, for the most part by hand: delicate silver stars are applied to the moon disc, which is fashioned in this model in German silver. Two round moons are then carefully diamond-milled, which gives them their convex form and beautiful silver brilliance. The small opening in the dial reveals first one moon and then the other in their various phases.

The Panorama Date and moon phase displays are easily set via the crown, which renders an additional corrector on the case superfluous. Thanks to its fine-toothed gear, the extreme precision of the moon phase is impressive: the mechanism is designed to represent the moon’s course – accurately and with no need for manual correction – for the next 122 years.
