  • Chronometry with character

Aesthetics. Elegance. Perfection. The Senator Chronometer Regulator by Glashütte Original combines these attributes with playful ease. The certified chronometer fuses its official qualities with an unconventional regulator display.

  • Off-centre displays

Historic regulators arranged the hands on different axes to enable better time reading. As the only central hand, the minute hand would dominate, while the other small hands would rotate on the periphery. In the Senator Chronometer Regulator, Glashütte Original applies this setup to watch-size dimensions.

  • Chronometer precision

The precision of a watch is expressed in the quality and refinement of the movement used. As an officially certified chronometer, the Senator Chronometer Regulator bears a certificate from the German Calibration Service (DKD), which tests and endorses its outstanding precision.

Reference timepiece

Previously when people spoke of regulators, they would mean special pendulum clocks, which were used by watchmakers in the workshops to precisely set the time and check watches. Examples of these historic timepieces can still be admired today at the German Watch Museum Glashütte.

A dial with character

The lacquered, silver-grained dial is dominated by the blued minute hand at its centre. Its timing is set by a finely engraved, black-galvanised chapter ring, while similarly engraved, black-galvanised numerals accentuate the course of the separate hour hand.
