  • The spirit of a decade

With a decade full of innovations in design and audacious new forms in mind, our watchmakers created the Seventies Panorama Date. The soft curves of the streamlined steel case reflect the spirit of this decade in a uniquely unconventional manner.

  • Enchanting dial variations

The dial, fashioned in German silver, is presented in galvanized silver, galvanized ruthenium, or blue. The ruthenium dial presents a sunburst surface, while the silver version is beautifully matt. The blue dial features finely graded shading passing from a lighter centre to a darker periphery.

  • Impressive details

The Glashütte Original Panorama Date takes pride of place at 6 o'clock, framed by applied indexes at the edge of the dial. The hands in white or red gold are coated with Superluminova to enhance legibility. The polished / satin-brushed steel case and metal bracelet highlight the distinctive, vintage Seventies look and feel.

  • Ultimate comfort

The flawlessly crafted four-link steel bracelet fits its wearer's wrist perfectly. The patented, innovative and doubly secured closing and fine adjustment mechanism designed specifically for Glashütte Original makes it very easy to adjust the individual length of the bracelet.

Contemporary witness to a rich tradition

In the heart of the Seventies Panorama Date beats the manufactory's 39-47 automatic movement. The domed sapphire crystal case back offers a clear view of this finely finished movement, complete with all the characteristic Glashütte features. The rich traditions of the watchmaking art to which they bear witness can still be found today in the Glashütte Original manufactory.

The Seventies in Glashütte

The Seventies have that certain something: the decade left its mark in all areas of life, from automobiles to airplanes, furniture design and fashion. New forms in art and design emerged in this period – in Glashütte watchmaking as well, as can be seen in our Museum.
