In honour of the Chinese Year of the Dragon, Glashütte Original presents a splendid and strictly limited timepiece adorned with a hand-engraved dragon. Unlike any other sign in the Chinese zodiac, the dragon stands for good fortune, intelligence, wealth and strength. The new special edition of the PanoInverse embodies all of these qualities, by combining best German engineering, precious materials and innovative design with a rich watchmaking tradition.

This limited edition of the PanoInverse is a precision-engineered work of art, of which only 25 pieces are available worldwide. Presented in a 42-mm red gold case, it is dedicated to the Chinese Year of the Dragon. Sapphire crystals on front and back and a partially skeletonised movement provide transparency, so that the hand-engraved butterfly bridge appears to float freely at the wrist.

The special edition of the PanoInverse is an exceptionally refined masterpiece: the movement elements are mounted in reverse order, so that the mesmerising, pulsing balance is visible on the dial side. A scaled dragon tail winds itself around the hour and minute displays, small seconds and the power reserve. The back is decorated with an imposing, hand-engraved head of a dragon whose fiery eyes are glowing rubies.

The heart of this dragon beats in a regular, precise rhythm. The manual winding Calibre 66-13 runs at a frequency of 4 Hz and features a running time of 41 hours. The movement is meticulously crafted, engraved, gold-plated, and regulated by hand in our workshops. The colour of this extraordinary watch is rounded off by a dark blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with a butterfly shape fold fastener in red gold.
