Cinematic icons and legendary timepieces

The 67th Berlin International Film Festival ended on Sunday, 19 February 2017 with an extra special moment for Glashütte Original: The 50,000 Euro Glashütte Original Documentary Award, sponsored by the Saxon watchmaker for the first time, was presented to "ISTIYAD ASHBAH (Ghost Hunting)" at the Berlinale Palast.

  • The five cushion-style Sixties Iconic Square chronographs were the centrepieces of numerous presentations and events in the Golden Bear Lounge, where Glashütte Original hosted prominent guests from the film and watch worlds every day in a stylish setting directly opposite the Red Carpet.

  • The award marked the official end of ten eventful festival days, which Glashütte Original had spent focusing on the new Sixties Iconic Square Collection in the Golden Bear Lounge. It was the Saxon watch manufactory's first time as the festival's main partner, and it used the inspiring atmosphere to present its special collection.
